For this week my new habit in each of the following categories:
(1) Improve diet – Eat breakfast
(2) Exercise – Reach my goal of 2,500 Nike Fuel points on my Nike Fuel Band. I have to repeat this one because I just didn’t get there last week!
(3) Take away stress – Plan evening meals for 1 month and grocery shop with a list
Eating breakfast doesn’t seem like a big thing, but for me, it’s a struggle. I get through the morning so much easier if I take the time to eat something. The problem is I just don’t want to eat anything other than a piece of toast or something really small. I don’t think I need to eat something really big, but I do need to get a protein plus carbohydrate and a good fat. So, that’s why I put it on my list.
Getting 2,500 points on my Nike Band is a huge deal for me in the heat of July. I guess I’m going to have to get up earlier and do some morning chores. My office is a 10 x 12 storage building so not much room to walk around during the day!
Meal planning should be second nature to a home economics teacher but it’s always been a struggle for me to make myself do it! It’s like the carpenter who can’t seem to finish the building project! It’s Resistence popping up in another area. I know making a list will help me save money and time and stress not to mention helping my healthy eating strategy so I’m going to work on this today.
Most of us have two lives. The life we live, and the unlived life within us. Between the two stands Resistance.”
