I feel so lucky to have such good friends!
Got the pleasure of being invited to a get together of high school classmates for a fundraiser last weekend and saw people I hadn’t seen in many years. Brought back so many good memories. I had a wonderful time. I had to rack my brain the whole night trying to remember peoples names and faces and of course the faces have changed quite a bit! A really close friend I hadn’t seen in 24 years came up from Dallas and spent the night afterwards. I would have known her anywhere! It just didn’t feel like it had been that long. We were just the same two people we were back then!
I cherish my horse buddy friends. Our friendships work so easy because we all care about the same things. We never feel like we need to impress each other! I think that comes with age too though. Even though we don’t see each other all that often we always know someone will be there for us.
